'Steve and his guides offer great hikes in an astonishing part of England. No matter the weather, the Lake District's landscape is splendid. Steve and his crew are highly experienced hikers with a great knowledge of the area. Steve also creates an inclusive environment giving the opportunity to meet people and make new friends.'
Amanda (Sept '25)
'Whilst the weather was challenging it did not detract from the experience in fact it made it better in some ways pushed me out of my comfort zone. The guide was very knowledgeable and always had alternative routes ready . The hotel is excellent and loved the fact that all guests sat down for meals at the same time. Food was varied and delicious with kind and helpful staff.'
Karen G.
'I was scared that I'd be too slow or feel I was holding everyone up but it was no problem. The pace was very reasonable and I really appreciated taking time to appreciate the lovely Lake District.'
Janis Y.
'One of my favourite UK hiking holidays and with everything included made it really good value.'

We begin our day near Ambleside and ascend Nab Scar to enjoy spectacular views across Rydal Water and Grasmere, before walking the long, gradual ridge over Great Rigg and on to Fairfield - a major summit at 873m. These impressive hills form the headwall at the end of the Langdale Valley, and provide one of the most memorable hikes in the UK. There is a little hands-on scrambling on the south ridge of Bowfell (902m) bit nothing too technical or exposed. Continuing over Crinkle Crags, we get views into the Upper Esk, a wild and remote valley beneath Scafell and Scafell Pike. We descend via a Red Tarn, a much-appreciated paddling opportunity for those who want to dip a toe before the walk down alongside the waterfalls of Browney Gill.
