Despite a dodgy forecast, we super, sunny weather almost daily for our walking holiday on Holy Island and the Northumberland coast this week. We wandered across vast, empty beaches listening to thundering surf, walked the cliff tops, hypnotised by giant breakers smashing into the rocky coast, and then relaxed at the end of the day over a glass of wine in The Olde Ship Inn.
