Meet the Team
STEVE
Having spent thirty years walking and climbing in the UK and Europe, a love of the outdoors has always featured prominently in Steve's life. He has been leading groups for more than 25 years, and finds huge pleasure in introducing others to the places that make you stop in your tracks and stare with admiration. He has walked and climbed in the UK and abroad, most recently falling in love with the central Alps region and all it has to offer. He has lived in The Lakes for 30 years, hill walking at every opportunity and getting to know the fells in every season.

NICK
Nick is an expedition climber, mountain leader, rock climbing instructor, and classical singer. He loves nothing better than a day at an esoteric crag in Cumbria, leading a group into the wilds, or the traverse of an alpine 4000m peak. Born in Hertfordshire, he is married with one daughter and based in Kendal. He has trekked, climbed, mountaineered, and sung all over the world
JO
Jo has been leading groups for more than 15 years. She loves The Lakes, especially the woodland areas, and is particularly inspired by the local links to artists and writers over the centuries, to the point where her own creative writing has become a huge part of her life. In terms of hill walking, her first love is the Coast to Coast long distance path which traverses the heart of the Lake District, a route along which she has led numerous groups. She also loves the West Coast of Scotland for its inspiring landscapes and has journeyed far beyond - including trekking in the Himalayas.
WILL
Despite being the youngest of the team, Will has already clocked up some impressive hill walking experience, bagging all the Lakeland Three-Thousanders before he was 12. He is both Marketing Manager and Walk Leader at Skyline, and really thrives on the variety that having these two responsibilities brings.
MIKE
With 32 years' experience of taking groups into the outdoors, Mike is a stalwart of our team at Skyline. He loves The Lakes in all its moods, and is particularly inspired by the local links to the work of the great poets and writers who lived here. His other favourite places include the West Coast of Scotland (especially the islands), as well as France and Spain.
BRIDGET
Sharing her love of the outdoors with others gives Bridget huge pleasure. She first experienced the joys of hill walking as a teenager and has never looked back. It has taken her to many places as far flung as Greenland, but she enjoys the UK most. Scotland, particularly the north west and the islands, rivals the Lakes and Dales for her affections. A keen wild swimmer, Bridget has lived in Cumbria for over 30 years. She has a strong interest in its cultural landscape, history and hidden places.
